Strongly-scoring single vintage Port from the 2017 harvest.
The critics love it (94 points Wine Enthusiast, 93 points Wine Advocate, etc.) and we have secured a small parcel at probably the lowest price in the UK.
Stand upright for a couple of days before decanting carefully and consuming within a couple of days.
Young and will age well but the Portuguese drink theirs a lot younger and I am inclined to prefer freshness over softness here too.
