Domaine Dyckerhoff

When we talk about Sauvignon Blanc from the upper Loire, we think of Sancerre. Or Pouilly Fumé.

But there are several other vineyard areas which are well-known in France but not so much elsewhere.

Reuilly is one such and we discovered this winery in 2020 through a random email coming in. Ordinarily ignored (I get about 20 a day), something about this one made me read through and I was hooked.

Funnily enough, the Sauvignon wasn't the draw though; it is very interesting, being perfumed unlike any other I've tasted, but the Pinot Gris grabbed me much more as a project. Impossibly pale onionskin colour, dry, refreshing and properly delicious.
