Muscadet sur lie Domaine de la Potardiere

Muscadet the brand was kind of ruined in the UK by fashion, demand and the unfortunate habit of the Big Supermarket Brigade to drive prices down to the point where the wine becomes a shadow of itself. 

The grape vine is a versatile plant and if you tell it to make more grapes at the expense of quality, it can and will.

However, throughout this regrettable period, decent Muscadet was being made and drunk in France and elsewhere; just not here so much.

Fast forward to now and we have just started shipping this wonderful product. Sur lie means a period spent sitting on the lees, the good bits left over from fermentation and it delivers a fat, creamy mouthfeel.

Stupidly good value at £14 as bottle but we have just 50 cases of six to give away at just £8.99 a bottle.
