A great example of what happens when skilled grape growers ply their trade in a less prestigious region. We get the quality without the price.

A blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon vines with an average age of 20 years and with the resulting wine aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels. Another few years in bottle before release, this would cost a fortune if it were from Rioja or Ribera del Duero. However it is a Castilla La Mancha wine - a region regarded as less "important".

Soft, mellow and really rather elegant, this is not a heavyweight red, more a charming and food-friendly bargain.
