Spätburgunder Weingut Heinrich Gies 6-bottle sealed case August offer.
When we first shipped this amazing wine from the beautiful Pfalz region of Germany, eyebrows were raised. It was a while ago and reds from Germany weren’t then ubiquitous here.
Still aren’t.
Should be though, when they’re as good as this one. Which most of them aren’t.....
Pinot Noir by the German name and in a style that I like to think is somewhere between austere, slightly under-ripe-but-appealing burgundy and the jammy, sweet types from the antipodes.
Stylish, mid-bodied, dry but fruit forward and so so nice. We’ve got lots of converts here.
Big order just arrived and 20 cases have been earmarked for an early promotion!
£16 down to £9.99. But just for the first twenty customers.
